Explore the lifecycle analysis of wood, and using wood as a material at the DATTA Victoria conference

01 November 2022

Catch ForestLearning at the upcoming DATTA Victoria Designing the Future conference on 9 December at Banyule Nillumbik Tech School.

Come along to visit us as we launch a range of primary and secondary teaching and learning resources and host an informational workshop.

Along with other guests from the wood product industry, our workshop ‘Seeing the Wood for the Trees – The Forest Learning Design and Technologies Teacher Toolkit building a Sustainable Future with Wood’ will give teachers hands-on activities on wood’s renewable life cycle and a breakdown of Australia’s sustainable forestry and wood products industry.

Touching on themes like wood as a material, biodiversity, innovation and technologies in wood production and construction, the workshop is the ideal place to pose any question you’ve ever wanted to ask about the industry.

Virtual reality headsets at the workshop will enable teachers to visit the forest and wood processing locations of wood products and build confidence to embed these tools successfully into their classrooms through take-away classroom-ready resources.

ForestLearning’s award-winning ForestVR immersive free tools include a series of 360-degree virtual photo tours and video 360-degree experiences that teach students about sustainable forestry and where our wood comes from in an engaging, immersive way.

Get in quickly to register a spot at the DATTAV Vic website.
