Q

Quota

An annual allocation or volume of timber assigned to a forest tenure holder that can be harvested from a particular area. Each log must meet specific criteria, such as size.

Quota sawlog

A log having dimensions and quality which are equal to or greater than those specified by agreement. The volume forms part of a sawmill's annual sawlog allocation (quota).
